Your story is not for everyone. We honour your need for space and sacred boundaries. We gain confidence when we quietly overcome our own challenges, empowered by our own fortitude.
Why Sunflowers?
We chose the Sunflower to feature in our launch edition because of its symbolism of positivity, resilience and rebirth. Sunflowers turn their faces toward the light—even when storms have passed through.
How long does the ink take to fade?
The ink fades completely in 10-20 minutes. This is a lovely time to practice self-reflection and mindfulness while you wait for this step to be completed.
When should I plant?
Sunflowers flourish when planted in the season of Spring or Summer - which is now! So be quick!
Where should I keep the pot?
The seed will need a minimum of 6 hours of direct sunlight and water daily to grow (keeping the soil moist but not soaked). If you live in a hot and rainy climate you will need to be mindful of the sun's intensity or rainfall. The pot is lightweight and easily movable to re-position as needed. If it is on a table, you may wish to place a dish under the pot's base, as the water can eventually soak through.
What do I do once it flowers?
As the pot and papyrus paper is made of natural fibres, you can now plant your flower in your garden bed or permanent pot if that is what you prefer. The pot and paper will completely biodegrade and absorb into the earth, marking the completion of the ritual.
What soil do I use?
You don't need special potting mix. Sunflowers are tough flowers and will grow in regular backyard soil. Soil is not included in the box due to strict import/export bio-laws.
